Ben Hoffman’s fiction has won the Chicago Tribune‘s Nelson Algren Award and Zoetrope: All-Story‘s Short Fiction Contest, and appears online at American Short Fiction, Granta, Joyland, Tin House, and elsewhere. Originally from Pennsylvania, he received his MFA in fiction from UNC Wilmington and was the 2014-2015 Carol Houck Smith Fiction Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. He lives with his wife and their dogs in Oakland, California, and is a 2015-2017 Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University.
